Design:
As mentioned previously, ASUS does not have any particular style or fixed set of design elements that they add to every single product. Instead, they focus on ensuring that their products provide good overall performance and are ergonomic. The ASUS VP249QGR is no exception as its design is also mostly practicality-focused.
This monitor features a very minimalistic design as the front looks almost bezel-less, with only about a 1cm wide bezel at the bottom with the ASUS logo. While the back is slightly curved but has no other notable design elements like textures or designs. Its stand is also very minimalistic and actually oddly small for a monitor of this size, which does help free up space on your desktop. It attaches to the very bottom part and is a flat circle at the bottom to keep the monitor from sliding or moving away from its position. However, the smaller than usual size also means that it offers less room for making adjustments needed for a user to sit comfortably while using it. The only thing that you can adjust with this stand is Tilt and you can set it from +20° to -5°, which is not a lot, and so many users just mount it to a wall as it is VESA wall mount compatible.

The front of this monitor, like most other monitors, features a nearly bezel-less design, with only a small bezel at the bottom with GIGABYTE written on it. While at the back, right off the bat we can see the difference in color and texture between the top bit and the rest of the lower back. Design:
In terms of design the ASUS TUF Gaming VG249Q can only be defined as minimalistic and practicality focused. ASUS needed to cut corners with this relatively budget-friendly series and so it does not have many noticeable design features or elements. This is honestly a good thing as many designs that are overly complicated look Bazar and do not age well over time.
It features a completely flat front screen with almost no bezels, a very small chin, and a few very easy-to-use and reaches buttons to adjust the setting of the monitor. Whereas, at the back, we see a slight curve but no other noticeable design elements. This monitor can be mounted to a wall since it is VESA Wall mount compatible but it would be better to use its stand since it is very practical and provides easy adjustment capabilities to users. The adjustments that can be made are Tilt from +20° to -5°, Swivel from +62° to -62°, Pivot from +90° to -90°, and lastly Height Adjustment from 0 to 150 mm.
Connectivity:
Again as corners needed to be cut with the ASUS TUF Gaming VG249Q, it does not feature as many connectivity options that most other gaming monitors do like USB ports, instead, it features the bare minimum with a single DisplayPort1.2, 1x HDMI (v1.4), 1x D-subx1, and lastly an audio-in port.

In terms of design, AOC is known to push limits and they have done this with the AOC C24G1, as while it is technically the smallest monitor on this list in terms of display size at 23.6 inches. It makes up for this with its display having a unique curve, which helps the eyes of users by allowing them to take in everything happening on the screen at once, without any form of strain.
This monitor features a very clean, black, and red design as the front display is almost bezel-less on three sides and has a very small chin at the bottom. While the back is slightly curved and features four red accents that look like they are moving from the center to the corners of the display. The stand also features a red accent running down vertically and has 4 feet with rubber bottoms to keep the monitor from moving or tipping over. Furthermore, for added practicality, the stand is very easily adjustable so that users can get into their ideal sitting position and not have to worry about getting a bad viewing angle. Design:
In terms of design, ViewSonic always tries to make its products very practical and ergonomic. They do not have any signature design elements that they need to add to their products so they tend to stay on the conservative side and keep things simple.
The front of the ViewSonic XG2405 features a flat-screen with almost no bezels on three sides and a very slight chin at the bottom, but other than that there is nothing else going on. Similarly, the back has no particularly noticeable design elements either and the same goes for the stand. However, the stand is quite useful as provides a wire catcher at the back so that users can avoid creating a mess of wires hanging from their monitor, by running the wires through the catch. It also allows users to adjust the positioning of the screen so that they get an optimum viewing angle. The adjustments that can be made are Height Adjustment from 0 to 120mm, Swivel up to 90º, Tilt (Forward/Back) from -5º to 20º, and lastly Pivot (Right/Left) from 90º to 0º.

What should I look for in a 1080p 144Hz gaming monitor?
The few things that you are generally required to look for while buying a 1080p 144Hz gaming monitor are
Screen Size: For most users, bigger does mean better, however, make sure you have enough space for it, as we saw on the list of monitors that the size of these monitors can easily range from 24 to 27 inches.
Screen Resolution: For most casual gamers as well as some professional gamers, playing games at 1080p is acceptable as the details are crisp and sharp enough for it to be enjoyable.
